Oxford University Press – Readerful Brand & Identity
A transformative new brand to help children everywhere discover a lifelong love of reading, one story at a time.
An inspiring, inclusive, magical brand designed to motivate more children to read more, transforming lives in the process. We created a visual identity that expresses the magic and joy of reading by using bold vibrant colours that work across primary to secondary school levels as well as using playful large scale letters that interact with characters from the books. We wanted to showcase the brilliant illustration that OUP have commissioned for the books and to bring these characters to life to capture the attention of the audience. The wordmark has a smiley face in the ‘r’ that is also used by itself as a symbol on the Readerful’s book spines as well as animating in a playful way for digital contexts.
“Working with Baxter & Bailey on our reading program was an absolute delight. Their attention to detail in crafting a versatile brand identity that not only adapts seamlessly to any cover context but also evokes joy with every glance is truly remarkable. Their collaborative approach ensured our project’s success, delivering a stylish and timeless brand that brings smiles to all who see it.” —Michelle Campbell, Head of Design for Primary Product & Schools Marketing, Oxford University Press
